Keshav Rajagopalan is Managing Director and Head of PGIM’s Strategic Capital Group (SCG). SCG harnesses the full breadth of PGIM’s investment capabilities to deliver holistic portfolio solutions and build strategic partnerships, with a focus on the insurance space. The team implements portfolio strategy and designs tailored solutions that integrate PGIM’s portfolio construction and asset-liability management capabilities with the firm’s deep capital structuring expertise and global credit origination platform. SCG works closely with insurers, reinsurers, asset owners, and sponsors.
Prior to joining SCG, Rajagopalan was part of PGIM’s Institutional Relationship Group (IRG), where he focused on chief investment officer relationships for PGIM’s institutional clients in the United States and Canada. In this role, he was also responsible for leading strategic client initiatives globally.
Before joining IRG, Rajagopalan spent three years in PGIM’s Global Wealth division as Co-Head of the exchange-traded funds business, leading the firm’s entry into the ETF market. Earlier in his career at PGIM, he served in the Business Strategy group, supporting the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, and other senior leaders on firm-wide initiatives.
Rajagopalan joined PGIM from Limestone Capital Advisors, a boutique oil and gas private equity firm focused on outbound investment from Asia into the US energy sector. Prior to that, he was a Senior Associate at McKinsey & Company, advising financial services firms on strategic initiatives.
He received a BA and BS from The University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with highest honors and was elected student body president. He later earned an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Rajagopalan was a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and served as an Officer in the US Navy Reserve.
